What this trainer covers

The question bank combines 12 roots with all 5 CAGED shapes, for 60 verified major-chord diagrams generated by the CAGED engine.

How a moved shape is named

A C major chord using the E shape begins at fret 8. Its pitch changes, but the fingering geometry still comes from the open E chord.

How to practice

Look first at which strings are muted, then compare the relative fret pattern and any barre. The root name tells you which chord sounds; your answer names the open-position geometry underneath it.
